I’m Sylvia, a documentary wedding photographer drawn to honest, unfiltered storytelling. I believe the most meaningful photographs are rarely the ones you plan for, but the quiet glances, fleeting moments and joyful chaos that naturally unfold throughout the day.

Film is where my heart feels most at home. I work with both analogue and digital photography, allowing each to play its part in telling your story. While digital offers flexibility when it's needed, I find myself returning to 35mm and medium format film for the depth, texture and timeless quality it brings to every image.

I work with couples who value presence over perfection; those who want to spend their wedding celebrating with the people they love, rather than performing for the camera. My role is simply to observe, gently guide when needed, and create photographs that feel honest, timeless and unmistakably yours.

Beyond the camera

When I'm not photographing weddings, I'm usually exploring somewhere with my husband and our two girls, a film camera tucked into my bag just in case. Whether we're wandering through a new city, spending the day outdoors, hunting for hidden vintage shops, or planning our next trip to Disneyland, I'm always drawn to the little moments that often go unnoticed.

I'm endlessly inspired by old places, well-loved objects, beautiful light and the quiet charm of things with a story to tell. You'll often find me browsing antique markets or thrift shops, coffee in hand, looking for pieces that have lived a life before finding a new home.

I think that's why I love analogue photography so much. Like the places and objects that inspire me, film has a timeless quality that can't be rushed or replicated. It asks you to slow down, to be present, and to appreciate the beauty in what's real rather than what's perfect.
